Job Description:
Our Ottawa based client is seeking several Programmer Analysts -Level 2 for a contract position, running from June - September 2009, with two optional extension periods.

All candidates must possess Secret Clearance.

DELIVERABLES - the Programmer\Analysts shall deliver:
• Developed and tested applications;
• Design Documentation;
• Prototypes and/or Proofs of Concepts;
• Inputs to test plans;
• Monthly status reports;
• System documentation using standard departmental templates;
• Responses to application problem reports using Remedy.

Other Requirements:
- experience in the design and development of enterprise class relational databases - experience with ASP.NET application development utilizing VB.NET or C#.NET with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET - experience in developing data driven web applications - having Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) training for developing applications using .NET. - must provide evidence of passed exams toward Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) certification - experience in developing applications with Microsoft Visual Basic - experience in developing web applications/web sites which are compliant with the GoC (Government of Canada) Common Look and Feel (CLF) Standards, v2.0

The ideal candidate will have::
  • graduated from a two year (as a minimum) post-secondary education program in computer science or an information technology (IT) related discipline
  • a minimum of five (5) years experience, within the last seven (7) years, in the Information Technology industry
  • must be Canadian citizens holding a current, valid Government of Canada (SECRET) or higher security clearance
  • a minimum of three (3) years experience, within the last five (5) years, in developing applications in an enterprise WAN environment
  • a minimum of five (5) years experience, within the last seven (7) years, in developing data driven web and windows based applications
  • a minimum of three (3) years experience, within the last five (5) years, in the development of Transact-SQL queries and stored procedures in a Microsoft SQL Server environment
  • a minimum of two (2) years experience, within the last four (4) years, with .NET application development using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET
  • a minimum of two (2) years experience, within the last five (5) years, developing applications with Visual Basic
  • a minimum of two (2) years experience, within the last five (5) years, with ASP/Javascript application development using Microsoft Visual Interdev
  • experience in the development of Transact-SQL queries and stored procedures in a Microsoft SQL Server environment
